After years of searching for deeper meaning in life, I finally encountered meditation in my early 20's. Someone handed me a small book on how to meditate, and I was unstoppably hooked. I did a deep dive into long retreat practice at the Insight Meditation Society for many years, and my life has been completely transformed. I seek freedom through living intuitively, and support others in discovering the power of their own intuition.
I practice regularly on long retreats, but it's also fairly common to see me meditating in random spots at home or in public. I walk this path through my own intuitive process, however that may vary from the ways we normally think about Buddhism. Nature, receptivity, and humor are all integral to my teaching. I teach with Inward Bound Mindfulness Education, Insight Meditation Society, Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and in the past have worked as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist, artist*, and occasional wilderness guide. In 2020 I will complete the Spirit Rock Teacher Training Program. I'm also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a coach for the Ten Percent Happier app. In my spare time I enjoy walking and watching plants grow.
MENTORING I offer mentorship to committed students whose practice I've come to know. Sessions are typically 1/2 hour long, with a suggested donation of $60. If you are interested in mentorship, please submit your inquiry on the contact sheet.
